1983 911 SC Slate Blue Metallic Navy Blue interior Navy Blue Top The car was purchased used in May 1992 with 148K miles and about 25% of paint gone. Think last owner lived at the end of a gravel road. The leather dash was curled up from sun. Otherwise no sign of wreak or exchange of body parts, that was confirmed when the body was completely striped that winter. There was no rust found. The car got a new paint job with anything that could be taken apart taken apart! Reassembled with all new rubbers and a new factory vinyl dash. The engine is very strong. It has chain tensioners up graded. Through the years any seal that leaked was replaced. Syncros in transmission were replaced. All CV joints, brake rotors, clutch, AC blower, etc, were replaced. What I am saying that anything that it has needed has been done. The engine and transmission are original and have had no major repair. The engine does use oil, the book (included) says “this engine will use oil”. I am sure that it uses more then a new but the engine just runs too good to mess with. Tool kit, jack, and service records included. The car came with a black top. Was OK. We put the Navy Blue top on and it is really nice. The exterior of the car is excellent with few flaws. The interior is good. Car came with full leather seats. Leather on doors and on dash (not good in sun). We have added leather shift boot and the steering wheel cover has just been redone. Carpet is faded, otherwise in good condition. Bottom line is that this is an excellent example of a 911 SC Cab. I don’t think you will find anything close for the money! Richard Moist, 2860 S.
